Cubs 4, Generals 3 (overtime)

Mason Fischer might not have had the white beard or the red suit.

But he was Santa Claus on Sunday night.

Fischer's second goal of the game 40 seconds into overtime gave the Cubs the present they really wanted for Christmas — two points.

Mason scored his second overtime goal of the month to send the Cubs into the Christmas break at 18-7-2, good for second spot in the HJHL's South Division.

Spencer Chapman had a goal and two assists and Chandler Aleman also scored in the win.

Dean Olenyk, Carter Cugnet and Patrick Forde replied for the Generals (17-8-2).

Wranglers 6, Lakers 3

Caileb Berge scored twice as part of a four-point night as the Wranglers doubled up the Lakers.

Austin Kalev also potted a pair and added a helper while Jackson Rider and Kody Wold chipped in with a goal apiece for Sylvan Lake (16-12-1).

Clayton Billyard had a goal and two assists while Chase Snider and Chase Honess also lit the lamp for Lomond (3-22-1).
