Working overtime isn't so bad — when you get paid.
Mason Fischer cashed in on his own rebound 3:15 into extra time as the Cubs edged the Thunder.
Chandler Aleman scored twice and set up a trio of goals, including the sudden-death winner, as the Cubs improved to 15-5-2.
Cooper Hilworth, Mackenzie Fritzier and Fletcher Aleman also lit the lamp for the hosts.
Kyle Bracko scored a pair of goals, including the equalizer on the powerplay with 4:09 left in regulation, and also added an assist for the Thunder.
Jason Horn, Tristan Paquette and Nathan Fox also scored for Airdrie (18-4-1), which welcomes Sylvan Lake on Friday (8 p.m.).
