Stampeders 3, Bisons 2
The Stampeders are streak-busters.
Geoffrey Drought turned in a spectacular 53-save performance as Ponoka ended the Okotoks Bisons season-long 20-game winning streak.
Odin Obray scored the game-winner with 1:20 to play to snap one of the longest HJHL winning streaks in years.
Cree Auger and Kirby Buffalo also scored for the Stamps.
Nic Jordan and Brennan Schwark replied for Okotoks, who came up empty despite throwing 21 shots at Drought in the third period.
Ponoka (5-12-1) hosts Sylvan Lake on Wednesday while Okotoks (20-1-1) visits High River on Friday.
Generals 6, Vipers 4
The Generals refused to go away.
The Vipers held 2-0 and 3-2 leads in the second periods, but the Generals came out flying in the final frame.
Jordan Fisher and Patrick Forde both picked up their second goals of the night to break a 4-4 deadlock and send the visitors home with the two points.
Keenan McElroy and Brandon Aab also lit the lamp for the Generals (13-5-1).
Jacksyn Goodall potted a pair and added a helper while Keaton Sawicki and Justin Paarup rounded out the scoring for the Vipers.
Cochrane visits Strathmore on Sunday afternoon.
Red Deer (9-8-0) is off until they travel to Strathmore next Saturday.

Noah Irvine scored twice and added an assist as the Cubs blanked the Lakers.
Brayden Anderson, Grant Forbes, Chandler Aleman and Spencer Chapman also scored while goaltender Dawsen Savage boarded up the net for his second shutout of the season.
Medicine Hat (11-4-2), which owned a 55-18 advantage on the shot clock, host Stettler on Saturday afternoon.
Lomond (2-16-0) plays Medicine Hat again in its next game, next Friday at home.

Isaac Benoit scored once in each period for his first hat trick of the season.
