The Generals and Cubs need no introduction.
Cochrane and Medicine Hat have traded playoff blood many times over the years.
So it is no surprise the two HJHL clubs squared off in a 'playoff-esque' tilt on Saturday night.
Ryan Davis scored in overtime to give the Generals a hard-fought 3-2 win over the Cubs.
Generals goaltender Erik Garber and Cubs puckstopper Dawson Savage both made 33 saves in the epic Saturday night clash.
Scott Shugg scored both goals in regulation time to give the Generals (5-4-0) a shot.
Levi Schlosser and Grant Forbes replied for the Cubs (2-2-1).
Medicine Hat hosts the Rocky Rams on Sunday (2:15 p.m.)
Cochrane visits the Coaldale Copperheads on Monday (2:30 p.m.).
