COALDALE – The Coaldale Copperheads are off the Heritage Junior Hockey League Final after taking a 4-2 win over the Cochrane Generals in Game 5 of their best-of-seven South Division Final series.
Jedd Horvath, Jayden Bexte, Chase Williamson and Jared Bainbridge provided the offence for Coaldale, while Nolan Berner shut the door between the pipes, stopping 23 of the 25 shots fired his way.
Braden Bain had a goal and assist for Cochrane, while Caden Chudleigh added a single. Knute Loe made 32 saves in the loss.
The Copperheads will now face the Airdrie Thunder in the HJHL Final. Dates and times for the series will be released in the coming days.
