AIRDRIE – A three-goal night off the stick of Tyler Petrie propelled the Airdrie Thunder to a 6-1 win over the Mountainview Colts in Game 5 of their best-of-seven North Division Final series.
Zachary Giroux added two goals for the Thunder, which now lead the series three games to two.
Jackson Little made 31 saves between the pipes to record the victory, while Rylan Plante-Crough found the back of the net once. Cooper Page finished the night with three helpers.
Kale Wright had the lone goal for the Colts.
The Thunder can close out the series in Didsbury Wednesday evening. Puck drop is slated for 8:00pm.
