RED DEER – Mitchell Visser was the overtime hero as the Mountainview Colts staved off elimination once again as they were 5-4 winners over the Red Deer Vipers in Game 5 on Wednesday evening.
Matthew Myatt, Josh Gette, Travis Gerrard and Wyatt Gelinas each found the back of the net in regulation for the Colts, which now trail the best-of-seven North Division semifinal series three games to two.
Keenan Smith scored twice for the Vipers, while Mack Differenz and Elijah Johanson provided singles.
Ethan Woodward turned aside 27-of-31 shots faced between the pipes for Coaldale, while Justin Anderson finished with 31 saves in the Red Deer crease.
The series now shifts back to Didsbury for Game 6 on Friday. Puck drop is at 8:00pm.
