COALDALE – A three-goal effort off the stick of Mason Fischer propelled the Medicine Hat Cubs to a 6-4 win over the Coaldale Copperheads, forcing a Game 6 in their best-of-seven South Division semifinal series.
Brett Vanderveer made 27 saves between the pipes, while Jareh Gray, Chandler Aleman and Quinten Karg rounded out the scoring.
The Copperheads now lead the series three games to two.
Ty Abbott had a goal and assist for Coaldale, while Linden Gouw, Turner Sharp and Tyler Anderson each added a single.
Nolan Berner turned aside 32 shots in the Coaldale crease.
