Cochrane extended their winning streak to 10 games, while Okotoks got past Stettler in a six-round shootout.

Okotoks Bisons (3) – Stettler Lightning (2)

OKOTOKS – Evan Woods sealed the deal in the sixth round of the shootout as the Okotoks Bisons prevailed with a thrilling 3-2 win over the Stettler Lightning.

Tyson Laduke opened the scoring just 58 seconds into the game, then would add another in the shootout, while Devyn Stewart also found the back of the net in regulation for the Bisons (23-7-3), which got 44 saves from goaltender Devin Reagan.

Quade Cassidy scored both goals in regulation for the Lightning (15-11-6).

Davin Nattestad made 29 saves in the losing effort.

Cochrane Generals (5) – Ponoka Stampeders (2)

PONOKA – Brandon Aab and Braden Bain combined for six points to propel the Cochrane Generals to a 5-2 victory over the Ponoka Stampeders.

Aab and Bain each finished with two goals and one assist, while Scott Shugg rounded out the scoring with a single.

Ryan Harder and Kieran Bulloch each netted a goal and one helper for the Stampeders (9-23-2), which found themselves in a 3-3 game midway through the third period before the Generals (22-7-2) would strike twice to extend their winning streak to 10 games.

Robert Michetti made 33 saves in the Cochrane crease, while Keenan Starkell had 38 saves at the other end of the ice.
