Jordan McConnell of the Airdrie Thunder has been named the Heritage Junior Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending on January 13, 2019.
McConnell, 20, led all skaters during the week with 13 points (5-8-13) in two games.
On Friday evening, the Airdrie, Alt. product scored three times and added six assists in a win over the Three Hills Thrashers, following that up with a two-goal, two-assist performance in a win over the Ponoka Stampeders.
McConnell has registered at least one point in all 29 games this season. He currently leads the HJHL in points (110), goals (45) and assists (65).
