Erik Garber of the Cochrane Generals has been named the Heritage Junior Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending on December 9, 2018.
Garber, 19, stopped 66-of-67 shots faced during the week, compiling a 0.67 goals-against average and a .985 save-percentage in two appearances.
The Kirkland, Wash. product had just over 29 minutes of relief work on Friday night against the Okotoks Bisons, stopping 19-of-20 shots he faced. He then followed that up with a 47-save shutout against the Bisons on Sunday.
Garber now sits with a 5-2-0 record this season, along with a 2.78 goals-against average and a .916 save-percentage.
