Visiting teams took three-of-five games on an eventful Friday night in the HJHL.

High River Flyers (5) – Okotoks Bisons (2)

HIGH RIVER – Chantz Vinck made 47 saves as the High River Flyers upended the Okotoks Bisons by a score of 5-2.

Tyler Alger led the way up front for the Flyers (8-12-2) with a four-point night, scoring twice and setting up two more, while teammate Brennan McPherson finished with two goals and one assist.

Liam Bollivar rounded out the scoring.

Jason Horn and Devyn Stewart provided the offence for the Bisons (15-3-2), which got 23 saves from netminder Devin Reagan.

Cochrane Generals (5) – Mountainview Colts (2)

DIDSBURY – A three-goal, one assist performance from River Ross propelled the Cochrane Generals to a 5-2 win over the Mountainview Colts.

Ryan Davis and Jaeden Dowling rounded out the scoring for Cochrane (10-5-1), while Erik Garber recorded the win in net, stopping 33-of-35 shots on the night.

Josh Gette had both the goals for the Colts (11-7-0), which got 30 saves from netminder Ethan Woodward.

Stettler Lightning (7) – Three Hills Thrashers (4)

TROCHU – Five unanswered goals to close out the game paced the Stettler Lightning to a 7-4 come-from-behind victory over the Three Hills Thrashers.

Ethan Rost and Logan Spady each scored twice for the Lightning (10-7-0), which trailed 4-2 midway through the second period, while Davin Nattestad made 28 saves in net.

Erik Rost, Jeff Ternes and Jonathan Fournier each had a single for Stettler, which have now won five straight.

Rory Van Doren had a hat trick for the Thrashers (1-17-0), while Ty Winther rounded out the scoring.

Conner Dixon turned aside 56-of-63 shots between the pipes.

Coaldale Copperheads (5) – Lomond Lakers (1)

CLARESHOLM – Two goals in a span of 33 seconds midway through the first period was the difference as the Coaldale Copperheads skated to a 5-1 win over the Lomond Lakers.

Trailing 1-0, Jayden Smith and Tyler Anderson each found the back of the net within a minute of each other midway through the opening frame, while Ty Abbott made it a 3-1 Copperheads (14-3-2) lead with 1:44 to play in the period.

Abbott and Smith each finished with three-point games, scoring once and setting up two others, while Broc Merkl made 21 saves in net.

Brandyn Howg and Riese Nevil rounded out the scoring with third period markers.

Ryan Leeper had the lone goal of the game for the Lakers (5-15-0), which got a 51-save performance from netminder Theo Paskuski.

Airdrie Thunder (9) – Medicine Hat Cubs (4)

AIRDRIE – Two-goal efforts off the sticks of Jordan McConnell, Rylan Plante-Crough and Tristan Paquette paced the Airdrie Thunder to a 9-4 win over the Medicine Hat Cubs.

Plante-Crough led all skaters with five points, as he added three assists to his pair of tallies, while McConnell added two helpers for a four-point night.

Zachary Dubois, Brett LeGrandeur and Dane Bennett-Nimijean rounded out the scoring for the Thunder (20-1-0), which held leads of 3-1 after 20 minutes and 5-3 going into the final frame.

Ryan Simpson made 31 saves to register the win between the pipes, his 10th of the season.

Cooper Hilworth scored twice for the Cubs (6-10-2), while Mackenzie Fritzler and Chandler Aleman each added a single.
