Vinck named HJHL Player of the Week

Chantz Vinck of the High River Flyers has been named the Heritage Junior Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending on November 4, 2018.

Vinck, 21, appeared in two games with the Flyers this past week, compiling a 2-0-0 record with a 1.44 goals-against average, .959 save-percentage and one shutout.

The Lampman, Sask. product kicked-off the week with a 27-save shutout on Saturday evening against the Thrashers and then followed that up with a spectacular win over the Wranglers, a game that saw him stop 43 shots in regulation and overtime, and then 11-of-12 shootout attempts faced.

This marks the second time Vinck has been named the HJHL Player of the Week this season. In 13 appearances, he has a 5-7-0 record, 3.13 goals-against average, .932 save-percentage and one shutout.
