Cochrane and Blackfalds each picked up two points on Thanksgiving Sunday.

Cochrane Generals (3) – Coaldale Copperheads (2)

COALDALE – Harry Osler played the overtime hero, scoring 30 seconds into the extra frame to propel the Cochrane Generals to a 3-2 victory over the Coaldale Copperheads.

Chris Sambrook scored both goals in regulation for the Generals (2-2-0), while Erik Garber turned aside 27-of-29 shots faced between the pipes.

Levi Anderson and Ty Abbott replied for Coaldale (4-1-1), which got 33 saves from netminder Nolan Berner.

Blackfalds Wranglers (7) – Strathmore Wheatland Kings (3)

BLACKFALDS – Three different players had multi-goal games for the Blackfalds Wranglers as they hit the win column for the first time this season, defeating the Strathmore Wheatland Kings by a score of 7-3.

Austin Lawson led the way with five points, scoring twice and setting up three others, while Taite Opdendries had two goals and two assists.

Braden Olsen also had a two-goal outing for the Wranglers (1-2-1), while Brett Westin rounded out the scoring.

Isaac Benoit found the back of the net twice for Strathmore (2-3-1), while Garret Vander Ploeg added a single.

Lane Brann made 27 saves to pickup the win in net.
