The Vipers took a bite out of the Thrashers in Three Hills Tuesday night.

THREE HILLS – A four-goal opening period set the tone for the Red Deer Vipers as they cruised to an 8-2 win over the Three Hills Thrashers on Tuesday evening.
Justin Pearup scored twice and added two assists, while Elijah Johnson also had a four-point night, scoring once and setting up three others.
Mack Differenz found the back of the net twice and had one helper, while Brody Kalinowski netted a goal and two assists.
Red Deer (2-2-0) goaltender Justin Anderson stopped 18-of-20 shots between the pipes, while Lane Sim and Matt Cormack rounded out the scoring.
Rory Van Doren and Owen Cummerford had the goals for the Thrashers (0-4-0).
