HIGH RIVER, AB: The High River Flyers Hockey Club announced today that they have named Colten Hayes as head coach.
Hayes is a former professional hockey player with an accumulated 229 career games with the Missouri Mavericks, Stockton Thunder, Fort Wayne Komets, Reading Royals, and Alaska Aces. Before turning pro, Hayes played in both the BCHL, AJHL, ECHL and CHL. Hayes was known as a point producing defensemen that also played tough.
In 2016, Hayes played in the Senior AAA Chinook Hockey League and won the Allan Cup with the Bentley Generals in 2016.
Hayes is an enthusiastic outgoing team player, with strong communication skills and looks forward to leading the High River Jr B Flyers through another exciting year with the HJHL.
